George Woodrow Stallings

George Woodrow Stallings, 91, a resident of Vincent-Hoyle Road, died Monday, July 31, 2023 at Maria Parham Health. Born on November 5, 1931 in Vance County, he was the son of the late George Plummer Stallings and Irene Choplin Stallings, and was the widower of Naomi Cash Stallings. He was employed with TropicaGas/AmeriGas Propane, and AAA Gas Company where he retired as Manager. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church and the W. H. Parrish Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at J. M. White Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Kelley. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. He is survived by two sons, Allen Ray Stallings (Betty Jo) of Enfield and Randy Dee Stallings (Candy) of Henderson; three grandchildren, Nicole Stallings, Brantley Stallings, and Ian Stallings (Victoria); three great grandchildren, Spencer Stallings, Cody Dement, and Matthew Dement; two great great granddaughter, Illiana Atkins and Violet Atkins; four sisters, Violet Gomer of Suffolk, VA, Princella Owens of Henderson, Dollie Ann Ellington, and Katie Rose Hite of Kittrell. The family will receive friends Friday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home on Vincent Hoyle Rd. Serving as pall bearers will be Matthew Dement, Curt Harp, Hunter Capps, Noel Faulkner, Marty Robinson, Jamie Gupton, Joel Beckham, and Marvin Ross.
