George Thomas "Tom" Blanks, Iii

HENDERSON – George Thomas “Tom” Blanks, III, 61, died Monday, December 18, 2023 in Pitt County. Born July 5, 1962 in Beaufort County, he was the son of George Thomas “Tommy” Blanks, Jr. (Cindy) of Kittrell and the late Peggy Currin Blanks. Tom was employed as a supervisor with Kenna Custom Painting, Inc. of Raleigh. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church by Dr. Donnie A. Perkinson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In addition to his father, Tom is survived by two sisters, Pam B. Sauls of Louisburg and Amy B. Boone (Jimmy) of Garner; five nephews, Michael Sauls, Brantley Sauls, Nicholas Sauls, James Boone, and Julian Boone; two step-brothers, Ethan Roberson and Ashton Roberson, both of Kittrell and his loving four-legged companion “D. O. G.” The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. in the fellowship hall of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Boone, James Boone, Julian Boone, Brantley Sauls, Nicholas Sauls, and Tony Faulkner In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Tom Blanks funeral fund, c/o J.
