George Norman Tucker, Iii

PLEASE NOTE: Rescheduled Service Information Below George Norman Tucker, III, lifelong resident of the Dabney Community, died December 31st, 2021 at Duke Raleigh Hospital after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. Born in Vance County on June 6th, 1960, he was the son of the late Sarah Brooks Wilkinson Tucker and George N. “Preacher” Tucker, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Gail H. Tucker, daughter Cassidy M. Tucker, sister Betty Brooks Tucker Boyd and husband, Glenn, his mother-in-law Maxine W. Hicks and family cat, Snowflake. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, arrowhead collector, gold panner, culinarian, and caregiver. A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 8th at 3:00 PM conducted by Rev. Mark Hopper at the Wilkinson-Tucker Family Cemetery located at 1980 Dabney Road, Henderson, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and additionally asks guests to dress for comfort and wear masks for the safety of those in attendance.
