Gerald Wayne Perkinson, age 74, a resident of 928 Abbott Road, died Sunday, February 01, 2015, at his home.Born on August 19, 1940 in Lee County, he was the son of the late Eugene Aubrey Perkinson and Elizabeth Lassiter Perkinson.He was a Veteran of the United States Army, and was a retired insurance salesman. Geraldwas formerly employed at Home Boys Housing and Lowes Home Improvement, and was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at 3 pm at Blessed Hope Baptist Church by the Rev. Donnie Perkinson.Burial with military honors will be held at Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Pulley Perkinson of the home; four daughters, Michelle Perkinson Martin and Stephanie Perkinson Loughlin, and Bridgette Suzanne Stewart all of Henderson; Tracey Perkinson Cole of Mc Donough, GA; one son, Joseph Bruce Stewart of Wake Forest; one brother, Dr. Donald A. Perkinson of Henderson; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 928 Abbott Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Deacons of Blessed Hope Baptist church.
