Geraldine Soper White

Middleburg - Geraldine Soper White, 86, of Jacksontown Road, died Friday, May 20, 2022 at her home. Born November 13, 1935 in Hants Harbor Newfoundland Canada, she was the daughter of the late Bessie Critch Soper and Raymond Soper. She was a retired administrator at Norlina Christian School and previously worked for Sears and Roebuck during the years of raising her children. She was an active member of Crystal River Church of God. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making many afghans and blankets through the years. She was a fabulous cook, baker, wife and mother. A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at 3:00PM at Wise Baptist Cemetery in Wise. Geraldine is survived by her husband, Thomas Allen White; a son, Earl Edward Yake, II (Janice) of Springfield, VA; a daughter, Kathleen L.Y. Campbell (Brian) of Golden, CO; a step-son, Michel Allen White of Wake Forest; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Harold Soper (Barbara) of Newfoundland, Canada. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Marie Tilley; a step-daughter, Sylvia Anne White; and a brother, Eric Soper.
