HENDERSON- Mrs. Katherine Geraldine "Gerry" Carroll Roberson, age 80, a resident of 491 Ridgecrest Trail, died Monday, October 24, 2016 at her daughters home in Oxford.Born in Durham County on August 7, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Melvin Coley Carroll and Lois Ragan Carroll who were founding members of Faith Baptist Church on Cheek Road in Durham.
She was a member of White Memorial Methodist Church and a former member of Faith Baptist Church in Durham.
Funeral services will be held Thursday in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home at 2:00 PM by Rev. Eddie Mauldin.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Marvin Roberson of the home; two daugthers, Karen Seagroves and Gayle Clark both of Oxford; two sons, Bobby Proctor, Jr and Steven Proctor both of Creedmoor; a step-daughter, Cynthia Avery of Henderson; ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday prior to the service from 12:30 till 2:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home, 491 Ridgecrest Trail, Henderson, NC 27537.
Serving as pallbears will be Ronald Roberson, Donald Roberson, Bobby Proctor, Kenny Proctor, Joe Seagroves, David Avery and Donald Ray Matthews.
