Gladys Faye Gibson Adcox, age 73, a resident of Henderson, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at her home.Born on August 16, 1947 in Durham County, she was the daughter of the late John Russell Gibson and Nellie Townsend Gibson.She was a retired Manager of the cafeteria at E. M. Rollins School.
Graveside memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 5th, at 2 pm at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Tim Short.
She is survived by her husband, Robert McDonald "Mack" Adcox, Sr. of the home; two sisters, Janie Sadler (Charlie) of Texas and Joan Daniel of Durham; 11 grandchildren; and one great grandson.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Gladys Michele Chastain; and three sons, Robert McDonald Adcox, Jr., William Russell Adcox, and Timothy Mack "Mackie" Adcox.
The family will receive friends Wednesday May 5th from 1:30 until 2:00 at the Sunset Gardens.
