Glenda "Ruth" Ferrell Dickerson

HENDERSON-Glenda “Ruth” Ferrell Wilkerson Dickerson, 78, a resident of S. Cooper Drive, died Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Maria Parham Health after a brief illness. Born in Vance County on September 4, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Katie Campbell. She was a homemaker and attended Freedom Life Church of God until her health prevented her from attending. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. She is survived by four daughters, Joanie Inscoe (Ashley Murray), Brenda Williams (Tim), Barbara Jean Balmer, and Tammy Harp (Timmy) all of Henderson; one son, Danny Dickerson of Starke, Florida; two sisters, Sally Cash of Oxford and Dorothy Francis of Henderson; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Donald Wayne “Red” Dickerson; one brother, Albert Thomas Wilkerson; her son-in-law, David Inscoe; and two grandsons, Donald Ray Pearce, Jr. and Joshua Scott Inscoe. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of Brenda and Tim Williams, 500 J. P. Taylor Road, Lot 46, Henderson, NC 27537. Serving as active pall bearers will be Jose Lopez, Timothy Wayne Harp, Jr., Angel Yanez Peres, Jr., Marcos Chavez, Jorge Lopez, Justin Ranes, David Hunter Inscoe, III, Jim Ranes, and Ben Perkinson.
