HENDERSON-Gloria Ann Grissom, 68, a resident of Senior Citizens Nursing Home, died Saturday, June 10, 2017.Born in Vance County on September 10, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert Grissom and Annie Abbott Girssom.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 3 pm at Sunset Gardens by Rev. Todd Stout.
She is survived by one sister, Becky Reaves of Henderson; one brother John Grissom (Gladys) of Zion, Illinois; her nieces and nephews, Hank Reaves (Susan) of Jamestown, Glenn Reaves (Karen) of Wilson,Donna R. Fowler (Ashley) of Henderson, Linda McMullen of Cayce, SC; Cindy Pucin of Kenosha, Wisconsin,Jeff Grissom of Marion, Illinois,Clyde Wagner of Emerald Isle, Frances Thurman (Carey), and Angie White (Marshall) of Roanoke Rapid; and many great nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Judith G. Wagner, brother-in-law, Hunt Wagner; brother, Mickey Grissom; brother-in-law, Henry Reaves; and one niece, Wanda Keener.
The family will receive friends at the home of Donna and Ashley Fowler, 460 Intake Lane, off Flemingtown Road, Henderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vance County Animal Shelter, 1243 Broddie Road, Henderson, NC27537.
