Grace Edwards Hershman

HENDERSON-Grace Edwards Hershman, age 97, a resident of 1031 Bearpond Road, died Sunday, August 31, 2014, in a local nursing home.Born on November 19, 1916 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Edwards and Lillian Bledsoe Edwards, and was the widow of Oliver Wendell Hershman.Mrs. Hershman was a homemaker and a member of Gillburg United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 am in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue.
She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn H. Woodlief and husband, Gary, Linda H. Grissom and husband, Ronnie, and Ann H. Williams and husband, Harold all of Henderson; one son, Wendell Edward Hershman of Raleigh; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Austin Hershman.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
