Gray Walker Grissom

HENDERSON- Willie Gray Walker Grissom, 86, of Ridge Road, died Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Granville Medical Center. Born June 22, 1936 in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Georgia Hamm Walker and William Angus Walker and was the widow of Jack Clement “J.C.” Grissom. She was retired from the Durham County School System where she worked as a teacher’s aid and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Durham. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Pastor Scott Gray. Burial will follow in Fuller Chapel Church Cemetery. Mrs. Grissom is survived by a sister, Betty Walker McMullen (Stephen) of Conroe, TX; and a brother, William Walker (Rosa) of Henderson. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Danny Grissom; four sisters, Lona Mae Walker Lewis, Maxine Walker Hutchins, Susan Rebecca Walker Carlton and Virginia Faye Walker Bruccoleri; and one brother, Benjamin Harrison Walker. The family will receive friends following the service at J.M. White Funeral Home on Friday.
