Julian Gregory Floyd, age 51, a resident of 2001 Walter Bowen Road, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at his home.Born on February 28, 1960 in Vance County, he was the son of Thomas Willis Floyd and Ruby Moss Floyd of Henderson.Mr. Floyd was a retired mechanical technician at Americal and was a member of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Tim Burgess.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Teen Hissong Floyd of the home; one sister, Susan F. Fletcher of Henderson; and three brothers, T. W. Floyd and Dean Floyd of Henderson, and Gerald Floyd of Kinston.
The family will receive friends Saturday immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Baptist Church Building Fund, 1699 Weldons Mill Road, Henderson, NC27537.
