HENDERSON- Harold Clarke "Joe" Hicks, 86, of Park Ave., died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at his home.Born in Vance County on November 19, 1934, he was the son of the late Thurston Willis Hicks and Mary Clarke Hicks.He was retired from Wester Realty and Insurance Company where he worked as an insurance agent.He was a member of First United Methodist Church Henderson and an avid golfer.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Joe is survived by his wife, Betty Coile "B.J." Hicks of the home; his son, Thurston Hicks and wife, Tina of Kittrell; his daughter, Julia Langston of Henderson; his grandson, Beau Langston; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, W.D. Hicks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 946 West Andrews Ave. Suite S., Henderson, NC 27536.
