Harold Shields Tucker, Jr.

HENDERSON- Harold Shields Tucker, Jr., 82, of Buckhorn Street, died June 13, 2025 at his home. Born November 7, 1942 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Alice Jackson Tucker and Harold Shields Tucker, Sr. He was retired from Brown and Williamson where he was a tobacco buyer. Harold was a member of Nut Bush Presbyterian Church where funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. by Rev. Jon Owens. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Bettie Boone Tucker, of the home; his daughter, Lanie Johnson and husband, Clark of Columbia, SC; his son, Shields Tucker, III and wife, Lynn of Henderson; three grandchildren, Jennifer Tucker, Jacob Tucker and wife, Tiffany, and Evan Johnson and fiancé, Jessica; four great-grandchildren, Adelynn Tucker, Violet Tucker, Jayce Aline and Sutton Johnson; his sister, Karen Worden and husband, Dee of Raleigh; his brother, David Tucker of St. Pete’s Bay, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home; and at other times at the home on Buckhorn Street. Serving as pallbearers will be Evan Johnson, Jacob Tucker, Jamez Finch, Michael Worden, Joe Rowland and Michael Tucker.
