Harrison Lee Gupton

Harrison Lee Gupton, age 22, a resident of 392 Heartland Lane, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill of a sudden illness.Born in Vance County on January 7, 1988, he was the son of Henry L. Gupton and Madge Marie Boyd Gupton of Henderson. Lee was a graduate of Norlina Christian School and attended Poplar Creek Baptist Church.He was employed as a manager with Boyd Livestock and Farms.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm, at Poplar Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Tony Evans and Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Bruce Allen Gupton and Harriet Jackson Gupton of Henderson; three uncles, Bobby Boyd, Gray Boyd and Steven Gupton and wife Kimberly, all of Henderson; and seven cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marvin Cullom M.C. Boyd and Nellie Barker Boyd.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J.M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home, 392 Heartland Lane, Henderson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Whitmore, Logan Arnold, Matt Arnold, Christopher Boyd, Michael Boyd, John Curtis Matthews, Chris Anderson, and Jake Currin.
