Hazel Lynch Hobgood

HENDERSON-Hazel Lynch Hobgood, age 88, a resident of 119 White Oak Drive, died Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born in Warren County on March 18, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Fred Baird Lynch and Alma Taylor Lynch, and was the widow of Lucius Howard Hobgood, Sr.
Hazel was a retired cafeteria manager at Kerr-Vance Academy and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:30 am in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Ronald S. Cava.Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Pat H. Hughes and husband, Tony of Henderson; three sons, Bill Hobgood and wife, Kathy of Henderson, Ronnie Hobgood of Leesburg, FL, and Howard Hobgood and wife, Heidi of St. Marteen; ten grandchildren, William Hobgood, David Hobgood, Brooke Hobgood, Lindsey H. Holmes, Brandon Hughes, Thomas Hobgood, Lauren Hobgood, Oliver Hobgood, Daniel Hobgood, and Harrison Hobgood; and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 until 11:30 am at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Pat and Tony Hughes at 72 Eileen Court, off 158-ByPass..
Serving as active pall bearers will be William Hobgood, David Hobgood, Thomas Hobgood, Brandon Hughes, Mike Stainback, Donald Seifert, and R. G. Chick Young, Jr.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to The American
