OXFORD-Hazel Owens Shank, age 91, a resident of Granville County, died on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at her home.Born on November 28, 1920 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Espy and Beulah Karriker Owens.
Burial will be held at Valhalla Memorial Park in North Hollywood, CA.
She is survived by a son, C. J. Sutton of Michigan; daughters, Joyce Ellickson of Arizonia and Paulette Stamper of Oxford, NC; sisters, Evelyn Karriker of Mooresville, NC and Hilda Wood of Kannapolis, NC; one brother, Jack Owens of Mooresville, NC; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
