Hazel Smith Smith

Hazel Smith Smith, age 87, a resident of 1704 NC Hwy 39 North, Louisburg, died Friday, February 10, 2017. Born July 30, 1929 in Robeson County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Smith and Madie Wilkins Smith. She was the widow of William Jethro Smith. Jr.. Hazel was the former manager of the Salvation Army Thrift Store and was a member of the Salvation Army Church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 pm at Freedom Life Church by the Rev. Jeff Prewer and Captain Rick Langley. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Velma S. Robertson (Robbie) and Joyce S. Prewer (Jeff) of Henderson, and Debi S. Davis (Mike) of Plant City Florida; one son, Danny Smith (Anita) of Henderson; one brother, Leroy Smith of Four Oaks; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
The family will receive friends Sunday before the service at Freedom Life Church from 2 until 3 pm. At other times they will be at the home of Jeff and Joyce Prewer, 5910 NC Hwy 39 South, Henderson.
Serving as pallbearers will be the Ushers of Freedom Life Church.
