Helen Costalas, age 93, a resident of Richmond, Virginia and a former resident of Henderson, NC died on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Hospice of Virginia at Retreatin Richmond. Born February 5, 1919 in Arachova, Greece. she was the daughter of the late George Costalas and Maria Diamondouris Costalas.She retired from Roses Department Store where she worked as a buyer and Secretary for thirty-six years.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:30 AM in the J.M. White Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Father Paul Christy of Holy Trinity Church in Raleigh, NC.Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Costalas; and her sister, Penelope Matalas.
The family will receive friends on Monday prior to the service from 10:30 until 11:30 am at J.M. White Funeral Home.
