HENDERSON- Helen Collins Mabrey, 88, of Roberts Ave, died Monday, February 24, 2020 at her home.Born October 28, 1931 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Cornelious "Jack" Collins and Lillie Belle Harris Collins.Mrs. Mabrey was the owner and operator of Mabrey Ceramic Tile Company and a member of South Henderson Church of God.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 3:00 PM at South Henderson Church of God by Rev. Gary Harper and Rev. Mark Bateman.
Mrs. Mabrey is survived by her son, C. Wayne Mabrey of the home; her daughter, Loretta Mabrey Wilson of Henderson; three grandchildren, Lonnie Hale, Kristen Wilson, April Lauren Wilson; a great grandson, Hunter Cole Wilson; and her brother, Raymond Collins of Johnson City, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Worth Henry "Red" Mabrey.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 till 3:00 PM on Sunday at South Henderson Church of God.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Henderson Church of God, 125 J.P. Taylor Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
