Helen Belle Norwood, 100 years old, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Senior Citizens Nursing Home.She was born on September 11, 1916 in Townsville to the late John Alps and Blanche Newton Norwood.Miss Norwood was the oldest member of Rock Spring Baptist Church.Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm at Tabernacle UnitedMethodist Church by the Rev. Gary Brummitt.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews in Henderson and Virginia.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church c/o of Mrs. Sylvia Anderson, PO Box 203, Townsville, NC 27584.
The family would like to thank the nurses and helpers at Senior Citizens for their compassionate and loving care given to Helen for over ten years
