Helen Faye Owen

HENDERSON- Miss Helen Faye Owen, 80, a resident of Hicksboro Road, died Friday, January 28, 2022 at her home. Born February 21, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Helen Roberson Owen and James Bernard Owen. Faye was a member of Harris Chapel United Methodist Church where she served in numerous capacities. She was retired from City Tire where she worked as a bookkeeper. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Harris Chapel United Methodist Church by Rev. Glen Stallsmith. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Helen is survived a sister, Vallie Stem and husband, Jesse of Henderson; a niece, Susan Holtzman and husband, Charles; two great nephews, Justin Holtzman and wife, Jamie and Kyle Holtzman and wife, Deborah Leigh; a great niece, Jill Perkinson and husband, Brad; eight great-great nieces and a great-great nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Mae Owen. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of Harris United Methodist Church and at other times at the home, 1115 Hicksboro Road, Henderson, NC 27537. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Holtzman, Kyle Holtzman, Charles Holtzman, Brad Perkinson, Lawrence Brame, Jimmy Elliott, and Billy McCann. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Harris Chapel UMC C/O Lawrence Brame, 280 Kelly Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
