Henrietta Currin Tillery, age 92, a former resident of Hillcrest Drive, died Thursday, November 11, 2010, at Carolina House of Chapel Hill.Born in Granville County on April 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late DeWitt Henry Currin and Blanche Cannady Currin.She was a graduate of The Womans College, now UNCG, and received her BS Degree in home economics.Mrs. Tillery was a member of The Church Of The Holy Innocents.
Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2:30 pm at Enon Baptist Church in Granville County by the Rev. Donald A. Lowery
She is survived by two daughters, DeWitt Tillery Hamilton of Hillsboroughand June Tillery Thompson of Gastonia; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Junius W. Tillery; two brothers, DeWitt Currin and Douglas Currin; and one sister, Betsy Fox.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, and following at the home of Retta Currin Powell at the Currin family home place, at 5123 Old Route 75, Oxford, NC.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
