CLARKSVILLE,VA- Henry Turner “Tim” Ellington, Jr., 84, died Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Clarksville Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born October 14, 1940 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Bessie Barker Ellington and Henry Turner Ellington, Sr. He retired from Purolator where he was a computer programmer and was the former owner of the Henderson Putt-Putt Course. He was a former member of the Henderson Optimist Club. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 2:00 P.M in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home. Tim is survived by his wife, Carolyn E. Ellington of Oxford; his son, Tim Ellington and wife, Melony of Virginia Beach, VA; his daughter, Christa Hight and husband, Rusty of Henderson; four grandsons, John Ellington, Alex Ellington, Dusty Hight and Daniel Hight; his sister, Peggy Jordan of Cary; his brother, Jerry Ellington, Sr. of Raleigh; and his sister-in-law, Gail Prather of Oxford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Frances Ellington; and three brothers-in-law, Steven Prather, Bruce Jordan, and Lawrence Edwards. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home.
