Henry Hank Seeman Lougee, Jr., 68, a resident of Kerr Lake, passed away Monday June 6, 2016 at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson.Hank had been in declining health for the past 18 months from cancer.Born in Durham on December 19, 1947 he was the son of the late Henry Seeman Lougee and Mary Boney Wall.He graduated from Durham High School in 1968 and was a retired firefighter with the City of Durham Fire Department.He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #158, Knapp of Reeds in Bahama, NC.Henry was also a member of Middleburg Baptist Church and attended Beachside Baptist Church in New Smyrna Beach, FL.Hank lived in New Smyrna Beach, FL in the fall and winter and Kerr Lake in the spring and summer.He loved fishing on Kerr Lake and was known as Fireball.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 10th at 4:00 PM conducted by Pastor Jamie Parker at Middleburg Baptist Church, 80 N. Plummer Ave. Henderson, NC, 27537.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 PM till 4:00PM.
Hank loved his family and is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marsha Cates Lougee; his son Brian and wife Suzanne Lougee of Rougemont; two sisters, Ann Herrick (Roy) of Swansboro and Lisa Vande Ryt (Doug) of Westminister, MD; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Woods (Doug) of Hillsboro, OR; and his nieces and nephews.
