HENDERSON- Mr. Henry Clayton Riggan, age 71, a resident of 1295 Kelly Road, Henderson, died Monday, January 5, 2015 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born in Vance County on April 9, 1943, he was the son of the late Sam Riggan and Molly Ellington Riggan.He was the owner and operator of Riggan Sheet Metal.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2pm in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Frank Sossamon.
Mr. Riggan is survived by his wife, Carolyn Stevenson Riggan of the home; two sisters, Elizabeth Riggan and Gladys Riggan of Richmond, VA; a granddaughter, Shannon Riggan; and three step- sons, Randy Munn of Raleigh, and Michael Munn, and Jeff Munn both of Henderson.He was preceded in death by his son, Henry Clayton Clay Riggan, Jr.; two brothers, John Riggan and Sammy Riggan; and a sister, Carolyn Pearson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday prior to the service from 1 until 2pm at J.M. White Funeral Home.
