Herbert Amrose "Buster" Rainey, Jr., 88, a resident of 120 Vicksboro Road, died Monday, November 25, 2019 at his home.Born on January 2, 1931, he was the son of the late Herbert Amrose Rainey, Sr. and Ethel Payne Rainey.Buster was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during Korean War and was a retired carpenter at Frazco.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 2 pm at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Jay Jarrell.
He is survived by one daughter, Margaret R. Moss (Roger) of Henderson; two sons, Danny Ray Rainey of Henderson and Herbert Wayne Rainey of Durham; one sister, Barbara Rainey Mangum of Richmond, Virginia; one brother, Joseph Rainey of Henderson; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Clark Rainey; three sisters, Sarah R. Hughes, Kathleen R. Edwards, and Mary Bernice Rainey; and one brother, Wilbert Rainey.
The family will receive friends prior to the graveside service on Friday from 12:30 until 1:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home.
