Herbert Jack Roach

HENDERSON- Herbert Jack Roach, 79, of Oakridge Church Road, died Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at his home. Born October 17, 1944 in Mecklenburg County, he was the son of the late Jack Herbert Roach and Sue Roach Sherwaski. Herbert was a welder and retired from Southern Engineering Company. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing cards, watching NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 4:30 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Johnny Yount. Herbert is survived by his daughter, Sandra Lawhorne of Henderson; two sons, Herbert Scott Roach and Kenneth Roach, both of Kittrell; a granddaughter, Gweyn Nicole Roach; and a brother, Wayne Roach of Charlotte. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Roach and James Roach; and a sister, Heloma Roach. The family will receive friends following the service at J.M. White Funeral Home on Saturday, September 28.
