Hoket V/ Ayscue

OXFORD-Hoket V.Ayscue, age 94, a resident of 5604 Tabbs Creek Road, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Brantwood Nursing Center.Born in Franklin County on May 21, 1921, he was the son of the late Bennett Perry Ayscue and Amy Renn Ayscue.
Hoket was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.He was a member of Tabbs Creek Baptist Church where he was a former choir member, and was retired from Carolina Telephone and Telegraph Co. and later Sprint.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 3 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Stan Jenkins.Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Louisburg.
He is survived by one son, Donald Ayscue and wife, LuAnn, of Boonville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Kevin (Jennifer) Ayscue, Danielle (Robbie) Skaggs, Jason (Sarah Lowery) Ayscue, Ella (Gareth Tootell) Ayscue, and Christopher Ayscue; daughter-in-law, Beverly Ayscue; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Edith (Grady) Caviness, and Betty Jean (Hartwell) Overton; and two special friends and caregivers, Dale and Pat Johnson who made his life fun to the end.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Perry Fuller Ayscue; one son, Gene Perry Ayscue; and one sister, Loraine Cooper.
The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service from 1 until 3 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Jason Ayscue, Kevin Ayscue, Joseph Cooper, Payton Ayscue, Bryce Fleming, and Bob Fleming.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Tabbs Creek Baptist Church, c/o Alice Overton, 6537 Harold OBrien Road, Oxford, NC27565.
