HENDERSON-Horace Albert Short, age 72, a resident of 2274 N. Lynnbank Road, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at his home.Born in Franklin County on April 8, 1940, he was the son of the late William Short and Daisy Roberson Short.Horace was a retired Shift Foreman at the former Harriett & Henderson Yarns, Inc.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM.at Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. Gene Wood.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by one daughter, Lisa S. Briggs and husband, Robbie of Henderson; two sons, Norman Andy Short and wife, Vickie and Glenn Allen Short of Henderson; two sisters, Juanita S. Dickerson and Jean S. Robertson of Henderson; two brothers, Phillip Short of Henderson and Nelson Short of Oxford; and six grandchildren, Delaney Short, Haven Short, Chelsea Briggs, Matthew Briggs, Trenton Short, and Macy Short.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Madelyn Baugh Short.
The family will receive friends Saturday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 2274 N. Lynnbank Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Philip Wayne Short, Billy Dickerson, Scott Dickerson, Del Butts, Billy Overton, and Willie Adcox.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
