HENDERSONIrvy Loyd, age 84, a resident of 822 Eastside Drive, died Thursday, December 13, 2012, at his home. Born on October 7, 1928 in Granville County, he was the son of the late Lonnie Leonidas Loyd and Mattie Pendergrass Loyd. He was a retired co-owner of Loyd Plumbing Company, and was a member of North Henderson Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2 pm at Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Brent Kasey.
He is survived by one daughter, Ruby Harris of Henderson; one brother, Paul Loyd, of Oxford; one sister, Nellie Vaughan of Oxford; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Bentley Loyd.
The family will receive friends Saturday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J.M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home at 822 Eastside Drive.
