Isabel Pace Wortham

DAPHANE,AL- Isabel P. Wortham of Henderson passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, peacefully in her room at the Brennity Assisted Living in Daphne, Alabama. During her stay at the Brennity, she received loving care for the past seven months. Born July 31, 1924 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Pace and Mabel Pace Jackson. She was predeceased by her husband, Rowland S. Wortham, brother H. Fuller Pace, and sister Dorothy P. Van Dyke. When you remember Isabel, you will always think of her as a caring homemaker where family and devotion to her church will stand at the forefront. In 1943 Isabel married Rowland, and their travels and children began. In 1985 they retired to the family home place in Henderson. Survivors include her sons, Jerry Wortham (Patty) and Stuart Wortham (Ede); grandchildren Angela Huddleston, Jeremy Wortham, Tres Wortham, Clark Wortham and great-grandchildren Haylie Wortham, Landon Wortham, and Chase Wortham. Surviving sisters are Evelyn P. Woodlief, Marie P. Floyd, and sister-in-law Mag C. Pace. On May 21, 2022, at 1 P.M., a memorial service will take place at Flat Rock United Methodist Church.
