HENDERSON-J. W. Trammell, age 79, a resident of 344 Hamilton Lane, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at his home surrounded by his family. Born on August 5, 1930 in La Fayette, Georgia, he was the son of the late Clifford and Pearl Woody Trammell. He was a retired machinist.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Sunset Gardens by Chaplin Linwood Jarrell.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Forrest Trammell of the home; two sons, Gary Trammell of Henderson and Jay Trammell of Fort Worth, Texas; four daughters, Deborah Trammell and Joy T. Vaughan both of Henderson, Rebecca T. Jackson of Camden, Delaware, and Rhonda T. Schwarz of Portsmouth, New Hampshire; one brother, James Trammell of Cartersville, Georgia; one sister, Mary T. Christopher of Trion, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-seven great grandchildren .
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Sunset Gardens.At other times they will be at the home at 334 Hamilton Lane.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
