EPSOM- Jack Louis Edwards, Sr., age 84, a resident of 15 Dickie Dr., died Friday, October 26, 2012 at his residence.Born on December 24, 1927 in Warren County, he was the son of the late Robert Edwards and Elizabeth Dickerson Edwards.He was a retired truck driver and member of St. Johns Episcopal Church.A World War II Veteran, he served in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division during the Battle of the Bulge and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and a Bronze Service Star.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Estelle Earp Edwards of the home; two daughters, Pamela Frazier of Raleigh and Jackie Omelian of Statesville; three sons, Michael Edwards of Louisburg, Jack Edwards, Jr. of Epsom, and Steven Edwards of Knightdale; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings.
