HENDERSON- Jackie Lee Patton Dement, 75, of 104 Redhead Lane, died Friday, February 12, 2021 at her home.Born in Franklin County on September 26, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Richard "Jack" Patton and Burla Mae Ayscue Patton Dement and was the widow of James Darrell "Buck" Dement.She was retired from Walmart where she worked as a sales associate for 10 years.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:00 in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Tammy Ayscue. Burial will follow in the Dement Family Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Dement and Pam Dement, both of Henderson; four grandchildren, Angela "Tookie" Overby, Michael James Dement, Amanda Lee Owensbey and Jamie Ellen Owensbey; three great grandchildren, Kaylin Carroll, Nevaeh Owensbey and Jayden Owensbey; two sisters, Mary Evans and Ann Railey of Henderson; and a daughter-in- law Keisha Terry of Columbia, SC.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianne Owensbey and a half-sister, Sadie Starling.
The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 at J.M. White Funeral Home.
Anyone attending the service or visitation on Sunday are required to wear a mask and practice
social distancing.
