Jackie Mae Glover

HENDERSON- Ms. Jackie Mae Glover, 83 passed away April 12, 2026 peacefully at her home in Henderson, NC. Born October 11, 1942 in Nash County she was the daughter of the late Jack Finch Glover and Winnie Hopkins Glover. Jackie retired after forty years of service with the Social Security Administration. She also contributed years of service with the Vance County Chamber of Commerce. 

Surviving Ms. Glover are her daughters, Angie N. Leuschner of Castle Rock, Colorado and Kristye N. Steed (Anthony) of Warrenton, NC and two Grandchildren, Paige Leuschner of London, England and Caine Leuschner of Denver, Colorado. Her dearest friend Vi Shay and loyal, beloved dog Pearl. 

In addition to her parents Jackie was preceded in death by her sister, Judy. 

Jackie was adored and loved by all who knew her. Her infectious smile and positive energy followed her throughout her life. She loved traveling, especially sightseeing other countries, gardening and enjoying precious time with her family. She spent retirement as a volunteer at Maria Parham Hospital and thoroughly enjoying boating on Lake Gaston. Jackie leaves behind a legacy of kindness, unconditional love for her family and friends and a willingness to help anyone she crossed paths with. She continues to help others after her passing by donating her body to Duke University School of Medicine for future education. She will be forever remembered and loved. 

A Floating Gathering (informal) will be held at Jackie's house, Sunday April 19, 2026 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM with light refreshments.
