GARNER- Jacqueline Parham Jones, 70, of Garner, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh. Born in Vance County on June 24, 1955, Jackie was the daughter of Caroline Finch Parham of Henderson and the late Robert W. Parham.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Jonathan P. Jones; her brother, Robert Parham (Bess) of Henderson; a niece, Dr. Jamie Courter (Donny) of Kingdom City, MO; and a nephew, Ethan Parham (Kayla) of Creedmoor, along with one great-nephew and two great-nieces.

Jackie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1977 with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught at E.O. Young School in Middleburg for several years before moving to Morehead, following her marriage. Her spiritual gift for teaching was evident in the schools, tutoring organizations, and churches she served throughout her life. Jackie identified simply and purely as a Christian, and her vast biblical knowledge was deeply valued by the Sunday school classes and Bible study groups she led.

A graveside service led by Pastor Will Breedlove will be held on Sunday, February 22, at 2:00 PM in the old section of Elmwood Cemetery in Henderson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

The family wishes to acknowledge the love and assistance provided by Sharon and Alisha Davenport during this difficult time.
