James Douglas Allen, Jr., age 41, a resident of 1280 South Lake Lodge Road, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at his home.Born in Vance County on August 6, 1969, he was the son of James Douglas Allen, Sr. and Shelby Ayscue Allen of Henderson.He was medically retired and was formerly employed as a Foreman with C. W. Wright Electric Company.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 pm at South Henderson Church Of God by the Rev. Brett Marlowe.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three daughters, SamanthaAllen of Henderson; Hannah Allen and Bethany Allen both of Bunn; one son, Thomas Allen of Bunn; and two sisters, Michelle A. Royster and Melinda Allen both of Henderson.He was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony Paul Allen.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Michelle A. Royster, at 1280 South Lake Lodge Road..
Serving as active pall bearers will be Brian Matthews, Chris Bibee, Lanny Kinsey, Jr., Paul Grissom, Kevin Ayscue, and Ray Matthews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the James Douglas Allen, Jr. Funeral Fund, c/o J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, Henderson, N. C.27536.
