James Lawrence Bowes

HENDERSON- James Lawrence Bowes, 66, of S. Cooper Drive, died Monday, April 22, 2024 at Warren Hills Nursing Center. Born July 20, 1957 in Granville County, he was the son of the late Melvin James Bowes and Bessie Mae McGhee Bowes. He was retired from Roses Warehouse where he worked as a truck driver. James was a Christian of strong faith. No services are planned at this time. James is survived by his wife, Deborah W. Bowes of the home; two sons, Aaron Bowes (Brittany) of Wake County and David Bowes (Stacie) of Henderson; two sisters, Mamie Bowes and Mary Bowes; and a brother, Rev. Ernest Bowes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kristen Bowes; and two brothers, Thomas Bowes and Avon Bowes.
