HENDERSON-James Edward Poison Ivey, II, age 47, a resident of 211 Flanagan Road, died Friday, August 7, 2015, at his home.Born on March 6, 1968 in Vance County, he was the son of Frances Barham Williamson of Henderson and the late Robert Henry Ivey.He was a tobacco farmer and a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
James got his nickname Poison when he wrestled the Southern Champion wrestlingleague.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Donald A. Perkinson and the Rev. Marshall Neathery.Burial will follow in the Williamson Family Cemetery.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Tessa Wiles Ivey of Walkertown; his step-father, John Henry Williamson of the home; one son, Andrew Clinton Ivey of Henderson; two daughters, Jami Raine Ivey of Walkertown and Kristen Robinson of Henderson; one grandson, Dawson Boone; and two sisters, Robin Ivey and Renee Ivey of Henderson.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Mike Carter, Paul Grenier, Tony Harris, Jim Hicks, Keith Early, Charles Orr, and David Williamson.
