HENDERSON- James Elmo Guerrant, age 79, a resident of 465 Hicksboro Road, died Monday, May 8, 2017 at his residence.Born in Granville County on July 5, 1937 he was the son of the late Frank Guerrant and Roberta Jewel Owens Guerrant.He was a member of Dexter Baptist Church and retired from Waste Industries.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Milton Abbott and Rev. Johnnie Russell.Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.
Mr. Guerrant is survived by his son Jerry Guerrant and wife Jean of Henderson; three granddaughters, Crystal Allen and husband Joshua, Heather Clayton and husband Brian, and Jerri Griffin and husband Anthony; six great grandchildren, Hunter, Sissy, Austin, Natalie, Hannah and Katelin; and a sister, Amy Whittemore of Kittrell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Boyd Guerrant; a son, James William Guerrant; a daughter, Lisa Darlene Guerrant; and seven siblings, Maybelle Bunn, Lillie May Williamson, Willie Guerrant, Mozelle Boyd, Bertha Abbott, Johnny Guerrant and Larry Guerrant.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home, 465 Hicksboro Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Griffin, Brian Clayton, Josh Allen, Hunter Allen, Austin Guerrant and David Sizemore.
