James Henry Hight

HENDERSON-James Henry "Jimmy" Hight, Jr., 69, a resident of 1634 Graham Avenue, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Maria Parham Health.Born on May 9, 1949 in Vance County, he was the son of the late James Henry Hight and Rose Speed Hight.
Jimmy formerly served as an Assistant Sergeant-At-Arms for the North Carolina Senate.
He was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Oxford where funeral services will be held Monday, April 8, 2019, at 4:30 pm by the Rev. James Pahl.Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Henderson.
He is survived by several cousins.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Wesley Hight, Branson Hight, Clarence Lemons, Dante Champion, Walter Hughes, Bruce Laney, and Mike Rainey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thompson Child and Family Focus, 8900 Saint Peter's Lane, Matthews, NC28105.
