James "Jimmy" Harold Brummitt

HENDERSON-James H. Jimmy Brummitt, age 73, a resident of 1756 Bearpond Road, died Friday, January 18, 2013, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.Born on February 24, 1939 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Harold Burton Brummitt and Mattie Adcock Brummitt.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM in the J.M. White Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Wayne Clark.Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Ball Brummitt of the home; two daughters, Debbie B. Norton of Wake Forest and Sandi B. Lindsey of Henderson; a son, Tony Brummitt of Henderson; three brothers, Sam Brummitt and Bobby Brummitt both of Henderson, and Herchell Brummitt of Great Falls, Virginia; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.
Serving as pall bearers will be Chester Currin, Butch Brummitt, Dan Brummitt, Mark Brummitt, Mike Brummitt, and J.D. Adcox.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Vance County Relay for Life, C/O Betty Eaves, 8521 NC Hwy 39 South, Henderson, NC 27537.
