James "Jimmy" Durward Vick, Jr.

HENDERSON- James “Jimmy” Durward Vick, Jr., 67, of Davis Street, died Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at his home. Born August 9, 1955 in Vance County, he was the son of the late James Durward Vick, Sr. and Jeanette Tart Vick Brame. He retired from AA Perry Glass Company. Jimmy had a special talent for working on lawn mowers and small engines and was an avid NASCAR fan. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Bruce Harp. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Lassiter Vick of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Hamon (Brian) of Mt. Airy, GA and Ashley Vick (Brian) of Henderson; five grandchildren, Sammy Hamon, Ava Hamon, Mia Hamon, John Florence, Jr. and Hailey Floyd; two brothers, Christopher Brame and Patrick Brame; and several nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Brame, Patrick Brame, Brian Floyd, Brian Hamon Billy Jo Lawson, Dewey Walker. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.
