James "J.T." Thomas Roberson

HENDERSON- James Thomas "J. T." Roberson, 68, of Old Watkins Road, died Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Granville Medical Center.Born in Vance County on January 7, 1952, he was the son of the late James Norman Roberson and Lonia Mae Often Roberson.James was retired from Breedlove Electric where he worked as an electrician.He was a member of Victory Baptist Church where he formerly sang in the choir. He was an avid fisherman.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at Victory Baptist Church by Rev. Ricky Easter.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
James is survived by one son, Joseph Nance (Kelly) of Henderson; three daughters, Angel Roberson (Jeremy Paul) of Henderson, Susan Patterson (Johnny) of Henderson and Bettie Wiggins (Thomas) of Butner; nine grandchildren, Zakerie King, Adrianna Goode, Jalesia Steed, Addison Paul, Kimberlee Nance, Kristen Nance, John Ball, Amelia Ball, and Clay Faulkner ; one great grandchild Paisleigh Ball; three brothers, Al Roberson (Mary Ann) of Henderson; Wayne Roberson of Henderson and Robert Roberson of Henderson; one sister, Suanne Roberson of Clayton; and his caregiver and close friend, Melissa Hughes.
He was preceded in death by his significant other, Ranita Faulkner; a daughter, Priscilla Dawn Roberson; two sisters, Nina Dale Thompson and Garla R. Dixon; and one brother, Norman Roberson.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 at J.M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of Angel Roberson, 767 Walter Bowen Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
