HENDERSON- Mr. James Thomas Newton, age 76, a resident of Warren Hill Nursing Home, died Thursday May 26, 2016.Born in Vance County on March 17, 1940 he was the son of the late Roswell Park Newton and Iola Adcox Newton.James was a retired correctional officerHe was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed riding motorcycles and taking his son to the races.
The family will receive friends Saturday night at J.M. White Funeral Home from 6:30 PM till 8:00 PM.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Newton of Epsom; his son, Tommy Newton of Kittrell; his sister, Janet Wynne of Henderson; his brother, Gene A. Newton of Georgetown, TX, his granddaughter, Kelli Collins; and his great-granddaughter, Kaelynn Collins; a special friend, Nancy Ayscue and her daughter, Lisa; and grandchildren Gabe and Dustin.
