James Archibald Parrott, Jr.

James Archibald Parrott, Jr., age 79, a resident of 2840 Poplar Creek Road, died Wednesday December 14, 2011, at Universal Health Care North Raleigh.Born on June 3, 1932 in Vance County, he was the son of the late James A. Parrott, Sr. and Catherine Wyche Wolfe.He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War.Mr. Parrott was the retired owner and operator of State Farm Insurance and was a member of Cole Mill Road Church of Christ in Durham.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Sunset Gardens by Rev. Mike Ellis.
Mr. Parrott is survived by two sons, Jim Parrott and wife Mary Ann and Ronnie Parrott and wife Mitzi all of Henderson; a sister Margaret P. Parham of Henderson; three grandchildren, Dixon Parrott, Harley Parrott and Will Parrott.He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy W. Parrott and a grandchild, Jasper Parrott.
The family will receive friends at the home, 2840 Poplar Creek Road in the Dabney Community and immediately following the service at Sunset Gardens.
