Henderson-James Nelson Roberson, age 76, a resident of Senior Citizens Nursing Home, died Wednesday, April 09, 2014 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on December 6,
1937 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Melvin Roberson and Ruby Grissom Roberson.He was formerly employed with the Vance County Fire Department and was the owner and operator of Stop-N-Shop Grocery.
A private graveside service will be held by the family at Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Edwards Roberson of Henderson; one daughter, Kathy N. Howard of Henderson; one son, Keith Roberson of Henderson; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Roberson and Dickie Roberson; one son, Kenneth Roberson; and one granddaughter, Lauren Roberson.
The family will receive friends at the home of Virginia Roberson at 144 Garden Walk Drive.
