James Keith Stark

WILMINGTON- James Keith Stark, 63, died Friday, January 26, 2024. Born March 28, 1960 in Granville County, he was the son of Jeanette Rudder Stark-Morris of Henderson and the late William Luther Stark. He was the founding member of several commercial contracting, real estate development and other construction aggregates. Keith was known for his sense of humor, which will be remembered by his loved ones as they share stories about memorable “Keith moments” for many years to come. Keith was generous and had a kind heart. He could talk to anyone and was said to have never met a stranger. He had big dreams and his presence was larger than life. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church Henderson Dr. Ronald S. Cava. In addition to his mother, Keith is survived by his daughter, Sarah Stark of Southern Pines, his son, James Keith “Chip” Stark, Jr. of Wilmington; a sister, Elizabeth S. Grenshaw and husband, Mark of Collierville, TN; a brother, William “Bill” Luther Stark, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Henderson; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church.
