James Michael Stegall

James Michael Stegall, age 65, a resident of 135 Crescent Drive in Oxford, died November 14, 2012 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on December 18, 1946 in Mecklenburg County, VA he was the son of the late Grover Cleveland Stegall, Sr. and Ola Elizabeth Short Stegall.He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a tobacco farmer.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church by the Rev. Cecil Newton.Burial will follow in Rock Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in Townsville.
He is survived by two brothers, Grover Cleveland Stegall, Jr. and wife, Peggy and Jerry Wayne Stegall both of Henderson; three sisters, Stella Elizabeth Stegall of Henderson, Donna Mae Bowes and husband, Donald of Henderson and Brenda Faye Strother of Madera, CA; four nieces; and five nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mattie Sue Newell.
The family will receive friends Friday night from 7:00 till 8:30 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of Grover Stegall, Jr., 2857 Hicksboro Road, Henderson.
Serving as pall bearers will be Bobby West, Jr., Chris Mangum, Cory Toliver, Pat Reese, Marvin Reese, Daniel Reese, Matthew Reese and Jack Newell.
